Deb Bell
This ol’ gal is a farm girl and wishes she was still on one. I loved growing up east of Mechanicsburg on a grain and livestock farm and living next door to my Grandma and Grandpa Bell. I graduated from Tri-City High School and Sangamon State University with a pre-law degree. While still attending college, I started to work for Hawkeye-Security Insurance Company in the Iles Park Complex in Springfield, IL. In 1984, they left Springfield and I chose not to transfer to Freeport, IL.
After working for a company, I went to work on the agency side. First with Don Mohr Insurance, where I met Don Goodenow and then with Don as he started up this agency in 1998. My background from the company side included Commercial auditor and Personal Lines Underwriter. In the agency, I have quoted all lines of property and casualty. I now mostly handle all the accounting, advertising and payroll and still work some with some of our long time insured’s.
I am active in the Women’s ministry at West Side Christian Church where I am a member. I love to read and spend time with family and friends.
I would love to retire to a big ranch where cowboys look like real men and know how to wear a belt to hold up their pants(I think you know what I mean) and have starched shirts and know how to two step to George Strait or Alan Jackson. Oh yeah, that would be the dream of this ol’ country girl.
