About The Goodenow Insurance Agecny
The Goodenow Insurance Agency opened January 1st 1998 with Don Goodenow and Deb Bell. With a couple of desks and calculators the business began in earnest. The first year was rocky with only a couple of companies willing to give a new agency their contract. In 1999 Erie Insurance Company entered Illinois and gave us a contract and the agency hasn't looked back.
Now with well over 40 companies to choose from and the addition of key personnel Goodenow Insurance has the ability to maintain personalized service but go after competitive rates for all it's clients.
Shannon Elliott joined our staff as our computer guru, web whiz and all around property/casualty producer. Shannon is our go to man for all technical problems.
We were lucky to gain a ton of insurance experience when we took on the ol' man, Russ Nation, who retired from Horace Mann after 32 years. Russ handles all lines of property, casualty, life and health.
Tom Cheshire joined our agency, handling all insurance lines, along with heading up his men's ministry RPM
Jerry Faulkner came back to the fold, so to speak. After being a Country Companies agent some years back, he was a district manager for Jay's Chips, then returned to insurance with our agency. Jerry handles all lines of insurance but he is truly the agency's go to guy for Medicare supplements, annuities and Life and Health insurance
Joyce Barnard joined our agency after we purchased her agency Auto Insurance Service (which was just around the corner from our agency). Joyce is our SR-22 and non-standard specialist. We call her our "quoting fool." She sometimes does as many as 10 quotes a day, along with taking payments and answering the phones
There are probably not too many things we haven’t been asked to quote. We’re here to help you whether you’ve been with us for the duration or looking for the “personal touch” for your insurance needs for the first time.
Call and “let us do your shopping for you”.
